I am almost one hundred percent sure that I want to do my project on either the movement arts as a whole or on one specific movement art. It is the art that is closest to me personally and I feel like I would be able to say the most about it and add to the conversation since it is such a big part of my life. So for this project I believe that I will most likely exploring one form of art. The movement art sport that I am most involved in, "tricking". is relatively new. most of the works of art, which is mostly in video form for tricking, have been created within the past ten years so I should be fine timeline wise.

  1. What types of movement art are you most interested in Josh and which one are you going to explore. I wish you talked more about what specific topics you'd be diving into because I'm sure there are a lot of different sectors to the sport. Off the top of my head I can think of gymnastics, song and dance, ribbon twirling, parkour, free running and slacklining. Also I am curious to think of what defines movement as an art to you personally? Is it the freedom of utilizing your body in unique ways? Or maybe you utilize a combination of different movements, I am left very curious.

  2. Like Parker, I'm interested in your ideas here but am not familiar with this "tricking" concept you mention. Would love to know more about how and why this is an art form. Be sure it's something you feel you can perform critical analysis of; while I'm not well versed in it enough to know, we may want to discuss it further to be sure it'll work for the project!

  3. Josh, i think you should go with what interests you the most and I think art would be a great topic because there's so much to write about in that venue. I like art especially in a variety of forms and it will always be a part of us so maybe you can start with what it means to us and how we will always include it in our lives and societies. I consider art as God's gift to man because it allows us to express our emotions from a young age.
