So far, I have learned a lot of things about nonfiction art works. I have found that many of the works in this category fall into one of two types. The first type being history books. These books tell the story of a mix of an art styles, or artists. The other type is an exploration of art. These can span various topics such as the theology of a specific style or a commentary on what it means to make art and why we do it. I found it really cool to see the interdisciplinary work being done between writing and other arts just as painting and drawing. It is really interesting when two mediums of art are combined. I also think the topics discussed are very interesting. I really enjoy reading about how the art of a time period impacted it’s history and vice versa. The other type is a little harder for me to understand but I still find it interesting to see how these art works would be described in words.
